2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee vs 2021 Jeep Cherokee
The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2021 Jeep Cherokee are two great options for those in the SUV market.
Those in and around the El Paso area can stop by our Jeep dealership to see both vehicles in person, but you may be wondering what the difference is between the Grand Cherokee and the Cherokee.
In order to help you get a better idea of which may be the better option for you, here is how the two Jeeps stack up against one another.
What are the Differences between the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee?
Both models feature off-road capability, powerful engines and great infotainment systems, but what are some of the things that set the two models apart?
As far as trim level options, the Grand Cherokee offers ten while the Cherokee offers eight. With more trim levels, the former also features four different engine options. Two standard engines make their way to the Cherokee, along with the available 2.0-liter, 270-hp engine in the Lux model.
In terms of design, the Grand Cherokee is bigger, but the Cherokee features a sportier design. The Grand Cherokee enjoys available amenities such as a sun/moonroof while the Cherokee does not. The Grand Cherokee has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds while the Cherokee can tow up to 2,000 pounds.
The Cherokee also features standard front wheel drive while its counterpart has standard rear wheel drive. All in all, the Grand Cherokee has “grand” in its name for a reason, but the 2021 Cherokee is far from being a slouch.
